Entravia Editorial
A worksite employee (WSE) is the person whose labor is the subject of the co-employment arrangement. The client controls how, when, and where the WSE performs work. The PEO administers payroll, benefits, and tax filings for that employee.
The WSE distinction matters for benefits eligibility (PEO master plans usually require WSE status), workers' compensation policy assignment, and certain state filings.
