EPLI (Employment Practices Liability Insurance)
Insurance protecting employers against claims of wrongful employment practices including discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination.
EPLI typically covers defense costs and indemnity for employee claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. Many PEOs include a base layer of EPLI in their bundled offering; sophisticated buyers verify the limits, deductibles, and exclusions.
EPLI included through a PEO is rarely a substitute for a standalone tower for larger employers, but it can be a meaningful cost saver and risk reducer for smaller clients.
